Dongdaemun Market is the shoppers paradise and you can get anything and everything there. It is located in Jogno-gu in Seoul, South Korea and comprises of a large number of shopping malls, various kinds of traditional shops and modern shops as well. These shops are famous for their silk ,fabrics ,clothing ,street food ,modern stuffs, fashion ,ornaments, toys, ethnic-wears, souvenirs, pet shops, wholesale and what not? This market was basically a night market but now it remains open whole day.
Dongdaemun Market or DDM is a commercial district comprising of traditional markets and shopping centers very popular with tourists and has been designated as a “Special Tourism Zone”.
This market is a very large market divided into many districts, malls etc. This Market is divided into two sections: Section 1 and 2 by the main street.
Section 1 and 2 both consists of wholesale and retail shops but Section 1 contains a large number of English-speaking staffs, thereby helping out the foreign tourists to buy their necessary goods. Whereas, Section 2 mainly deals on a bulk basis and mostly remain crowded during night to early morning hours. Major shopping malls in Section 1 are Doosan Tower, Migliore, Freya Town etc. Major shopping malls in Section 2 are Designer’s Club, Migliore Valley, Nuzzon, Gwanghee Fashion Mall, Jeil Pyeonghwa, and Heungin Stardom.
